Can we fit in Rafiki's Planet Watch and Donald's Dino Bash?

I've never visited Rafiki's Planet Watch and we would like to check out Donald's Dino Bash - specifically Chip and Dale in their adorable dinosaur outfits. I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to do them both. Here's our schedule (We are not interested in FOP, Everest, Kali, or Dinosaur).

* 8:10 - Tusker House Breakfast with Rivers of Light Dining Package

* After breakfast plan is to walk the Tree of Life Trails, head over to Asia to see the monkeys and walk the Maharajah Jungle Trek before heading back to Africa.

* Safari FP - 10:00 - 11:00

* Gorilla Falls Trail

* Pandora sometime around 12:00ish? Check out Pandora/maybe catch the drum show

Navi River Journey FP - 12:30 - 1:30

Lunch at Satuli Canteen either before or after FP

* Festival of the Lion King FP for 4:00 show (3:30 FP time)

* Dinner at Rainforest Cafe - 6:00

* ROL with Dining Package - 9:15


Can we fit in Rafiki's Planet Watch and Donald's Dino Bash before our FOTL FP? What order would you do them in? Thanks!

If you just want to see Chip and Dale, stop by the Dance Party between 4-8... after FOLK. They are the only 2 characters out there and when they leave the Party, they then immediately return.

You can go out to Rafiki’s after your Pandora plans.

What are the ages of your group? And when are you going? To me, you seem to have very few attractions listed, so I wouldn't think there would be a problem. But I guess that depends on your pace and crowd levels.

For example, if you entered Navi at 12:30 and assuming it took a whole 30 minutes - you would still have 2.5 hours to eat lunch. That's a LOT of time. Especially since you have two sit down meals. I doubt anyone will want a huge meal. (especially if you snack at all throughout the day, which is super easy to want to do at Disney)

Same goes with Safari. Assuming you're done at 10:30 or 10:45, you still gave yourself 1.5 hours for gorilla falls trail. That's a lot of time. Like a lot a lot.

It sounds like a really relaxing day at AK to me. Take your time at breakfast and be headed out of TH by 9:30. The trails, monkeys, and trek can easily take an hour or more. Back to safari by 10:45-11:00. Safari and gorillas until noon. Enjoy Pandora and Na'vi and Satu'li. This is where it could get tricky, though, I like hiro's idea of putting Rafiki here, but you'll have to be sure to be back on the train around 3:15 or so to make your FP window for Lion King. If you want to make sure you have unhurried time out at Rafaki, I'd move that Lion King to the 5:00 show.

Unless there's someone who really wants to do Rainforest for dinner, I'd probably cancel that and do QS at Flame Tree or elsewhere. It's just such a trip back to the entrance, and you're already doing a lot of walking. But even with the 5:00 Lion King, you could still make the 6:00 Rainforest and then go over to Dino Bash after dinner and before RoL.

Thank you for the suggestion to push back the FOTL FP to the 5:00 show. I went ahead and did that. I think that will give us plenty of time to enjoy Rafiki's after Pandora and not feel rushed. I'm now considering going to Dino Land right after our 5:00 FOTL show. We could check out the Dino Bash, play the Carnival games, and grab some dinner at Restarauntosaurus. Would that be a horrible idea? We have to be in Dino Land anyway to check in for our ROL Dining Package, right? Would that be too much time to kill in Dino Land?

It's not a horrible idea, but it is a LOT of time. You'll have about 3 hours to kill. If you have little ones, they can spend some time in the Boneyard. There is Triceratop Spin and Primevil Whirl (we really like this one, but I know many who don't). You could also check out the live entertainment and characters around Discovery Island. Dinner could also be a Flame Tree or Pizzafari.
