This is just for driving around the parks at Disney. We have
transfers from the airport and back, but because we are staying
at AKL and going to Downtown Disney one night, Wilderness
Lodge one night and Beach Club resort one night a rental car
would sure be handy. I can get a full sized for on $91.00 for three
days which would be perfect if we can all fit. The two guys up
front and the two moms plus two small girls age 7 in the back.
I know it would be a little tight but would it work?

Geez- not sure how that'd work since theres only 3 seat belts in the back of any size car......I cant' see it being the safest....and I know I surely wouldnt put my kids in jeopardy for a 91.00 car, instead of a 200 van for a week

I agree. Why not put one of the adults from the back seat up front and then you would have enough seat belts for the kids.

Many rental fullsize cars only seat 5 people. They have a console in the front between the two front seats. Usually you have to go to 'Premium' level to get 6 passenger capacity. You may need to consider that, or getting a minivan if you need to seat 6 people. Putting 4 people in the back seat could end up getting you pulled over for having children in the car that aren't seatbelted.

Wow Brandy,
sure was not planning on putting the children in jeopardy!
I thought if we couldn't fit three adults upfront, because of the
console I would sit in back with out a seat belt. As I mentioned
it was only for around the parks area. But I wouldn't want to get
pulled over for a ticket either .

I know you weren't....BUT some people would, I've seen it...guess my post came across the wrong way...didnt mean it "snooty"...

SORRY!!!!

If you are going to rent a fullsize car, at the counter I would ask for one wiht 6 seatbelts. There are some out there. Maybe you'd get lucky and get an upgrade.

herc.

Thanks Brandy,
No harm done, and to play it safe on safety as well as a ticket,
I changed our reservation to a mini van.

I've seen some pretty serious accidents on Disney property. People are driving in unfamiliar territory, not paying full attention. Good idea to rent a larger vehicle for comfort and safety.
