Can We Fish?

Does anyone know of a place where i can fish from the shore? i am an avid fisherman but the price for the 2 hr guided trip is to rich for my blood.34 days till the magic beegins.

The whole time we were at Pop Century in February, several people were fishing at the end of Hourglass Lake. Security stopped by while we were sitting and watching one older man, and asked if he caught anything. He said yes, and that of course he had thrown them back. I had no idea this was permissable, but security had no problem with it. He was catching really big fish.

We are flying in and my boys and husband would love to fish but don't want to pay the guided tour price. Does the Beach Club or Yacht Club have a place that can rent fishing poles, like maybe a community center.

You can fish at most all Disney waterways, as long as you release your catch. However the only rental areas are the guided tours and at Ole Man Island at Riverside.
