Trying to plan our 1st day and trying to cram too much in?

9:30 Flight arrives at MCO
11:30 Arrive at AK, after dropping luggage at POP -> have lunch at Rainforest
1:30 Golf at Fantasia Gardens
3:00 Take taxi back to POP -> check-in and explore briefly
4:00 Head to DTD -> eat at Earl of Sandwich
6:00 Take circle tour of Monorail Resorts, stopping to look at each one
8:00 Return to hotel to SLEEP!

Is this doable? Is this a word? We haven't taken Disney transportation before, but heard to allow 30-45 minutes to get to a destination that has direct access (like AK to a resort).

Let me hear your suggestions! Thanks!

I could be wrong but I think lunch and dinner are too close together time wise. Also, are you going to AK just for lunch or for attractions as well? That makes a big difference. If you're only going for lunch-- then I wouldn't use your tickets (unless that's not an issue) and go to the one in DTD.

Just so no one gets confused. You can go to the Rainforest Cafe at AK and not enter the park, thereby saving a day on your ticket.

The only change I would suggest is to skip the Golf at Fantasia if you can get early check in at POP. They should be able to tell you if this is a possibility when you drop off your luggage. If you can get into your room early I would skip the golf and go back to POP after lunch.

You may also find that 2 hours to tour the Monorail resorts is not enough time. I know that there are only 3 but with only 2 hours you will probably have no more than 20 minutes at each resort.

I would probably also skip the trip to DTD at 4, start your Monorail tour at 5 and eat at CR, Poly, or GF and get back to POP between 8 & 9.

I would check in first at POP. Then you would be ready to go when you return to the resort. If the room is not ready they will give you your keys and a phone number to check if it is ready. That way you can skip the front desk on your return.

You'll be spending most of your day on buses & such. I would not go all the way to AK to eat at Rainforest Cafe. I would pare down your schedule to maybe some DTD time & some resort hopping or DTD & Golf. Any combo of 2 should be plenty. WDW is huge & your schedule has you going back & forth across it all day.
That's just my personal opinion tho.

Isn't there a Rainforest Cafe in DTD too? Maybe you can grab a quick lunch at POP's food court and head directly to Fantasia Gardens... then continue with the rest of your plan as is, having dinner at Rainforest Cafe at DTD... then maybe try to fit in a meal at Earl of Sandwich later in the week?
