Can we do this?

Our flight is due to land at 10:30AM on a Sunday. We plan to use DME, and are staying at AllStar Movies. I would love to go the Sunday Gospel Sing at House of Blues. Could we make the 1:00PM seating on arrival day?

If you land at 10:30 and take ME, you will be at All Star Movies PROBABLY around noon (no guarantees). Then you'd have to check into the hotel and catch the bus to DTD (which is about as far away from the All Stars as you can get and still be on Disney property). House of Blues is on the opposite end of DTD from the Marketplace stop, so you'd have to wait for the second bus stop. Even if you don't check into the hotel, you'd have to hope that bus gets you there on time. I would say you don't have much of a chance. If you are required to book ahead of time with payment, I would say do not try it. Any delay would cause you to miss the event.

I'd attempt it only if you would not be out any money from missing the reservation.

I wonder if you could send your luggage on the ME bus and take a cab to the House of Blues? Then you could go to the hotel afterwards and check in and your luggage would already be there. I think you would have to check in for ME and then just don't get in the line. Not sure if that would work.

I doubt it.

Last trip we landed at 1:00 and didn't get to our hotel until after 3:00 It took another 20 minutes to wait in line and check in - and we made it to the HOTEL POOL around 3:30.

Landing at 10:30 means debarking at 10:45 - taking the tram from the gate to the central terminal, getting through the ME lines (which are pretty fast), then waiting in the line for the bus - which can be a 20 minute wait. Its another half an hour from the airport to Disney - and in our case we were the last stop - we had an hour total on the bus.

I would also say no. You just dont have enough time. Hope you get there at some point though. :)

I would go for it. ME gets you to the resort, you can check in after brunch. Rooms aren't guaranteed ready until 3pm anyway. You are likely to be at the resort near noon. Leave your carryons with Bell services and go have a great meal!

Brunch is a ticketed event so buy the tickets online ahead of time.

I agree with the majority, I think it is cutting it too close/not do-able.
Even if you check in after the brunch.
If you buy tickets ahead I would not risk it

I would be more concerned about the flight being late than about the time ME or check-in would take.

I wouldn't put myself or my family through the stress of trying to make an ADR that is that close - I think there is a good chance you won't make it. I know we are in the minority but the one time we took ME it took us almost two and a half hours from landing to getting to our room.

You could probably do it if you skipped ME - one trip I had a rental car and just a carry on and was at MGM about 45 minutes after the plane touched down. But ME will ONLY take you to the resort, and from there you need to get to DTD - which could take another 30 minutes even if you skipped checking in (I've had the worst luck with DTD buses). You cannot skip, with ME, landing, debarking, the ME line, waiting for the ME bus, the trip from the airport to the resort, the trip from the resort to DTD. You could take a cab for the last step, that would keep that time controllable - but the rest of that you are at the mercy of the airlines and ME.....
