Can we do SW in half a day?

We are going on a Saturday (Nov 10); just my DH and I, no kids. We may sit for one show, but are mostly going for the rides and aquariums. It's been years since we've been there; I can't remember what else is there or how big the park is

I think the park hours are 9-6 that day; we're debating doing one of those airboat/gator tours in the morning, then heading over to SW afterwards. Curious if we had time for both?

If you haven't been there in years, I think I would plan for all day in Sea World.
That said, we spent from 11AM-6 PM in the park mostly just going to the aquariums. We didn't go to any shows except Turtle Trek and rode Manta. We have been to SW several times this year though, so we didn't miss anything we haven't seen. So it is a possibility.

I looked at the website and figure we want to do the 3 thrill rides, the One Ocean show and a few aquariums (skipping the dolphins and sting rays since we will be at DC on Sunday), plus lunch at Sharks Underwater Grill. I figure we would get there around noon-1pm, so that gives us about 5 hours or so. Think that is doable?

If you haven't been there in years, I think I would plan for all day in Sea World.

Totally agree. Seaworld is a GREAT park with so much to see and do for every age, and you can easily fill more than a full day (even 2).......so to get the most of your admission cost, try and plan to spend as long you can on whatever day you choose.

The thing is, with Discovery Cove, you get in "free" to Sea World. So, I think for those of us who have been before, we can see enough of SW in a 1/2 day. I know that' is our plan (we will head to Mk for MNSSHP afterward). Now, we won't get to see and experience all of SW by any means, but since we can get in "free" anyway, I don't think we'll feel like we didn't get the most out of our tickets.

For someone who's never been, and who's buying a ticket to get in, I would plan to be there the full day -- open to close.

My response was to the OP, who indicated she was interested in doing the rides and touring the aquariums, as well as possibly take in a show. She didn't give any indication that her admission would be no-charge, so I can only assume she will be paying to get in.

Waits were 60-70 minutes for Manta, Kaken, and Atlantis on Saturday. Our son lucked out when Manta was just coming back from a down time and walked on. He didn't ride the others because of the wait.
Saturday during holiday weekend might be busier because of many locals having 3 day weekend. If you go to the new Turtle Trek it took over an hour on Friday. There was a 35 minute wait.
In November they will have Arctic down for the theming of Polar Express. Not sure when the ride opens this year.

Our theory is you do what you can do and have fun together doing it and it is always worth it-even when we paid for day passes years and years ago. quality of time is better that quantity in our books.

You are planning a full day from open to close for DC, though, aren't you? Same for Bush Gardens?

Yes, full day at DC with the dolphin swim and private cabana - cannot wait for that! No BG though. Our last day is at Universal/IOA

Thanks for this tips we need to try and fit Seaworld and Aquatic into one day just due to limited time in Orlando hope we can do both though I know we wont see everything
