My family is planning a trip for March 2012. We are doing all Disney Parks. This time we are going to Univeral Studios and Islands of Adventures too. We have made MANY trips to Disney but this will be our first time going to Universal. I understand the "fastpass" (called something different at Universal) are not free. If we don't buy them, can we still make it through both parks in two days. Also, should we buy the hopper pass or just stick with one park each day? Thanks!

You should be able to do both parks in two days. If you're coming during Spring Break, it will very busy but if you get to the parks early, you should be able to do some of the attractions w/o too much of a wait.
