can we change hotels mid-stay?

We visited wdw last sept for the 1st time & decided to stay @ ASM. with all the bad reviews I saw, we were pleasantly surprised with everything, but this time we thought we might try another hotel. We just didn't seem to find a big difference in the size of the rooms if you upgrade to a moderate resort. So, we thought we might just transfer to a different hotel for the last 2 or 3 days if our stay. We are wondering if disney provides a service that will move all of luggage to our new room for us. This would be great if we could just leave to go to parks in the am from ASM & arrive @ night @ POFQ ! We don't think the hassel will be worth it.... or is it?

Although we have never done this, many people here on the DIS stay at two or more Disney resorts during their stay. Disney takes care of moving the luggage for you. I understand it is really easy. I'm sure others who have done this will have more detailed information for you.

Has anyone switched with magical express. We plan to stay DVC and POP, just wondering if anyone has switched hotels and still used ME?

BTW, we have personally switched hotels and had Disney move us. Usually takes a few hours for luggage to arrive at new hotel, but very easy none the less. You enjoy the day and when you get back you luggage will be with the bellman at the new hotel.

We did this in June with ME. It was not a problem. I just called ME to make sure they had it correct on their system.
