We are flying Jetblue. I have read the requirements for the website and it seems that an umbrella stroller cannot be counted as a personal item to carry on since it is too long. However, my husband thinks we can bring it. Does anyone know, Thanks we are leaving tomorrow in the am. Linda

You bring it== and keep it with you until you are ready to board- then close it up= Make sure the ticket agent puts a ticket on it. The people will put it under neath for you.

You wont be able to carry it on the plane and put it in overhead storage- there is no room for it

I'm going to move this over to our transportation board in case the folks over there have anything to add.

Thats been our experience too. Never counted as a carry on or anything either. We have traveled with strollers many, many times. Just remember when you get off the plane to ask the flight attendant where to wait while they unload it. They will bring it right back up, you wont pick it up with your checked bags.

You can gate check the stroller. We have done this a hundred times.
When you get to your gate, let the attendant know you need to gate check your stroller. They will put a tag on it. You then take it all the way down the jetway to the plane. You leave it there outside the plane in an area off to the side. Make sure it has the tag on it and it is folded up. They will make sure it is stowed under the plane. When you get off, it will be there near the door of the plane when you exit. A couple of times, for whatever reason, the jetway was not cleared and the stroller did not make the plane but it would arrive on the next plane. Most of the time there is absolutely no problems. But be aware, they do not handle these with care, so be sure not to leave loose items in them. And occasionally they may get dirty or banged up a bit, so i would not take your best stroller.

We bought a stroller bag for ous and the bag was always absolutely filthy when it came off the plane. We landed in the rain once the the bag (which was waterproof) saved us as the left the strollers laying on the ground beside the plane as they unloaded all of them and everyone else had a soaked stroller and ours was nice and dry and clean.
