I am sure this has changed... originally, AKL wouldn't allow "visitors" to their new resort... only guests could walk around the AKL property. Has this changed? Can we at least see the pool area? If I can swing it... I want to stay at LEAST one nite here, while in town in Aug. !! If not, I would be thrilled if I can just walk around and perhaps eat in one of their great restaurants I hear so much about!! Thanks for your help!:smooth:

We ate at Boma last May when we stayed at WL. At that time, you were supposed to have a reservation at one of the restaurants to go there. I believe that restriction has been lifted now. You should have no problem going over there to visit the resort.

Anyone can now go over there to walk around and dine. You can't use the pool unless you are a registered guest though. It's a great resort, I hope you can swing it to spend one night there.

If you plan on dining there I would highly suggest you get a PS. Boma nad Jiko have both turned out to be very successful.

While I'm sure Jiko is excellent, I have to hightly recommend Boma. It is now my favorite restaurant in all of WDW.

Touring the resort will not be a problem. We were thre for Boma a few days before Christmas, though staying at All-Star Sports at the time.

We were just there last week to eat at Boma's, but I must say the gated security guard checked us out pretty well before we were sent into the AKL. It gave the appearance that you needed to have a reason to go there, but I didn't ask if I would have been allowed in just to look.

they only had that policy of not being able to visit the AKL unless you had a PS for a short while after it opened! you are free to visit it as you want now!!!
but I do recommend if you are going over there to try either Boma or Jiko! they are both wonderful restaurants!!! :)
