While I'm definitely interested in hearing Pete's favorite threads, I think there is room for both his favorite threads as well as the actual top 10 (analytics wise).
The Top 10 aren't always negative threads. I wouldn't have ever known about the resort specific FAQ threads had it not been for the top 10 threads, and that was very helpful for our trip last year. I just don't ever go to the resorts board, so I would never have seen them. I think I learned about mesaboy2's FP+ tips thread because it was #1 on the top 10 for months last year. That was *very* helpful.
I think the vast majority of people who are here, if not all of them, truly love Disney and want their trips to be the best they can be. I also think people share negative experiences to help others who are planning trips to *avoid* the negative things that happened on their trip. I know I've always learned a *lot* from the more critical/analytical threads that have helped my trips.
While I agree that this particular month's top 10 was a bit negatively focused, I don't think it outweighs the good the top 10 does in exposing listeners/watchers to subjects and areas of the board that they might not otherwise ever see.
