Today has been one of those days and to top it off it was at drs appointments
we discovered to day that our favorite dr Dr Kim the surgeon that has stuck us out through all io've had done, even to the point he came in and saw me after church just to visit not as dr patient, today waws the last time we get to see him on a regular basis, he is leaving university and moving to the veterasns hospital in jackson, he'll still be with me when the university surgeons schedual surgerys, but he is no longer the primary on my case. ok start at the begining
qwe got to dr kims office around 12 today for appointment, see him first then see the ent surgeon at 2 be home by 6 wrong. dr kim didnt have stuff he needed to restitch my eye,so we had to see him , then go over to ent then return to get eye sewn back up, well at ent office we were 2 hours early,, but miracles happen,,they worked me right back and i was second patient in after lunch,the resident came into rooom and had infated my expander in 10 mins she asked me to stay put because dr wanted to see me too , ok i wait,, and wait ,, wait some more,, after 49 min he shows up,, starts poking on the skin around my eye asking me to tryand close or open eye,, he decides that we arent goingto get any useage out of teh new upper lid, just corneal coverage,, but the lower lids goiung to be ok, it shoud move properly,, still, with no use age of upper,, i not any better off,, this hit me hard, i got very upset and was still notin a great mood when he left the room. i came very close to telling him i wanted another oppinion, that i was going tofind a surgeon at a different hospital and some one would fix my eye. he did say some things that we can interpret as being i can do some other thigns to make it work later,, but still,, aftyer 8 months of its going to work do NOT tell me all we can hope for is coverage. i have it on a higher authority that he is wrong., well after that we went back to dr kims,, he was tied up with another patient and we ended up waiting another hour,, then after he stitched my eye shut again, he realized i wasnt goingto see him next week, that he was leaving me,,lol,, he did promise me he would be around to check on me and to assist in the or when ever they do the operations, and he told me he was sure dr j was wrong about the no useage thing too traffic was horrid today,, several idiots on wheels out there, even had 2 18 wheelers that kept cutting each other and dw off. anyway, we finnally made it home about 9 pm and now i am exhausted, sore, and agravated that the drs are not wanting to promise me operation any more .. anyway, the always up, strong, hard headed, keeping my eye on the bright side good natured old frog has had a bad daya nd is not very up, chipper, or hopeful at the moment please say a few prayers and send a few good thoiughts my wway. i am hoping to be more myself tommorow. sorry this is so long, but i needed to vent thanks in advance cayse i know i can count onthe dis to get my spirits back up and me back in my normasl mind set
