I don't think so, since VMK does not condone credits as a tradeable item. It IS risky to trade for credits, and I only do it with people that I at least know have a trustworthy reputation.

No vmk doesn't approve of credit trading and if you get scammed chances of them doing anything are slim.
I'm giving the answer you don't want but when trading credits you took the risk and basically agree that if your scammed your scammed and vmk will not help.

If you get scammed there is nothing you can do about it.

Unless you know the person or know you can trust them I highly recomend you dont do it. Or make them give you the credits first. A simple way to find more reputable people is watch the trade threads for people who do the credit trades. Also make sure they been here a while. Someone who just joined this year may not be a scammer but they need history, look at How many posts do they have and how long they been a member. Things like this build reputation and hopefully you will be safer trading. I still would take it slow and get to know people before you credit trade. To many people are getting scammed that way.

Hey there! If you don't fully trust the person I wouldn't do the trade. I did a trade like that and got scammed out of a lot of things. When I repotred the person to VMK staff, they sent me a message basically saying that it was my own fault and not to do those kind of trades anymore. And nothing was done to the person who scammed me. From now on, I only trade with Disers or my good friends in VMK. Hope this helped

It's a lot easier to relax when trading with "established" DISers, especially when the trade bids are written on the actual thread. A well-known DISer would most likely NOT want to throw away his or her reputation. If it's a newer person to the boards and you're not sure, why not ask a DISer with a good reputation to hold the item for you?

I can vouch for many DISers (like donlee!) with credit trades because that's how I got pretty much everything I wanted, via kiosk. Just examine the threads that s/he has posted and how many trades were completed and you can get a feel for the person.
