Can ticket days be verified from home?

I bought three 2 day park hoppers for $125 each off ebay - same seller. When I got them, they were used tickets w/days left on them. They were each purchased on a different day.

My question - Can I check any of these from home to verify that the days are valid? I've already paid - and honestly, I trust that seller - his feedback is impeccable - but I just want to make sure... someone told me I could check them at a Disney store, but when I went there, the cashier said it's not possible.

No, you can not, and if Disney knows the tickets were purchased used they may be confiscated. Disney ticket media has always been non-transferable. The only way to check remaining days is in person at Guest Services.

Beginning Jan 2, 2005, all new ticket media requires biometric finger scans to limit the ticket usage to the original ticket user.

That is scary! Especially since we are probably not going to use the hop feature! So, I am pretty much breaking even on the cost of 1-park per day tickets! Have they refused entry to many people?

I don't know about lately, but last June when I was there it was on the local news about a family that had bought used tickets from a disreputable off-site source and the tickets were confiscated. They lost over $600 by purchasing those cheap tickets.

No need to panic unless the tickets end up to be totally used up instead of only partially used up (In the latter case, you've been scammed).

Disney has no way to know who used the old park hopper tickets. When you get to Disney, you can ask guest services to tell you how many days are left on each ticket. They can scan them and get the info. If there are days left, you should not have trouble using them

It is risky to buy Disney tickets on ebay precisely because you cannot verify what you are getting without having the tickets actually scanned on site at Disney.

If you bought from an honest ebayer, you will be fine.

But don't buy any Magic Your Way tickets from ebay (those are the new tickets - the ones that will be using the finger scan ID). Only one person can use the MYW pass - just as only one person can use an annual pass.

I bought tickets off ebay last October because we wanted one day hoppers. They were used tickets. We had absolutely zero trouble using the tickets.

You can also have the number of days left on Park Hoppers checked at a Disney resort-- I had a bunch of tix with a day or two each, and got them sorted out at the Front Desk. Then, I wrote the number of days on the back so I wouldn't have to bother them again...

I think we have unused days on our passes. I called to find out and they cant tell me!! Now I dont know what tickets I need to buy for this year!

Just wanted to report - my tickets worked beautifully. I did purchase from a very reputable guy, and I believe that if they hadn't worked, he would have refunded me.

if there are numbers on the back of the ticket, you may be able to check them from home. we have an unused 10 day pass. we thought we lost it and faxed a request into disney with the ticket info on the back of the pass. then a week later we found it. I called disney ticketing and told them we found it. they cancelled the request and were able to make sure my ticket had not been cancelled yet. i gave them all the ticket info on the back and they told me it was good and didnt expire until 2030!!

I about DIED when I saw the license plate picture in your signature. My license plate on my car is DZNY NUT!!!! I have had that plate for ~ 8 years and many people around town recognize me by my license plate. We just had our annual audit with our audit firm from TN. At lunch one day, they followed me out of the parking lot. I could see them smiling and pointing at my car. When we got back they told me that they KNEW that had to be my car by the license plate!! It's pretty sad when people that you see twice a year know about your obsession!!
