Hi All,

I have always wanted to fly Jet Blue (I love airliners and trying different ones). I am located in Halifax and would like to fly AC from here to Boston and then buy a seperate ticket to fly Jet Blue from there to Orlando. Any idea if this will work. I expect to need to grab my bags in Boston and 're-check-in' at the Jet Blue counter...more wondering if it's possible.

Of course it will work, why would you think it wouldn't?

It is possible. You will have to get your bags as stated and re check in...make sure to leave yourself some extra time for the connection as you have to get your luggage, leave the arrivals area and go to the departures area and recheck in. You will also want to check out a map of the airport to see the distance between the two. If they are in seperate terminals you will want to find out about transportation between the two. Remember when checking distance to find out which gates they come in at to get an accurate idea. How far is the drive to Boston? Is that an option?

That was fast!

I thought it would work but sometime being a Canadian and checking in and all I thought they may be like..."what are you doing?!?!". Maybe I just worry too much.

I appreciate all your feedback! The drive to Boston is a trip from here. It's like 11 hours and not worth it for me. I have airmiles and from here to there is the small amount not the 25000.

Again thanks...booking now :)

if airfare $$$ don't budge soon!!:)

Welcome to the Dis, by the way...and especially to a fellow Nova Scotian!! :goodvibes

Hi MBB,

Great to see another Nova Scotian. I thought I had seen all sites until I recently discovered this board and to have a Canadian place just for all of us is GREAT! We do have some different needs/questions than Americans do.

I agree with you...the cost of flights was crazy since they are asking 600.00/person and we are going in August for only 374.00!!! I have just finished booking the flights, AC to BOS and then JB to MCO, <600.00 taxes in for two!

Also, Mickey's Halloween Party Tickets came yesterday :goodvibes

Howdy--Bostonian here, checking in with some Logan Airport info:

Here's a picture of the Terminal layouts:

It looks like you'll be in REALLY good shape. Both Air Canada and JetBlue arrive and depart out of Terminal C, so you'll only have to go up or down a level (I'm not remembering what floor each is on)

JetBlue had been flying out of Terminal E, but once Delta's new Terminal A opened, JetBlue moved over to C where Delta/Song/Delta Express used to be.

Hope this helps!

Hi mbb

that was one of our concerns...changing terminals..

Deb, any idea on traditional fare $$ for Feb 5,6,7,...returning Feb 26,27,28 ?
We've got a great house ready to book in Clermont, and *if* there's aeroplan availability, I think we're going to do the JB thing too... I can't stand not having our tickets booked!!

(Are you heading further east this summer? Love to see you!!:))

CJM, you're going to have so much fun at MNSSHP! What are you dressing up as?

mbb--getting down to FL on Feb 5, 6, or 7th you could probably get as low as $79 one way (Jet Blue does not have their dates released out that far, but I expect that they will be released around the end of June)

Coming home is going to be a different issue altogether. That weekend is end of our February School vacation week, and the flights can be ASTRONOMICAL. Right now, I'm looking at $299 for a ONE WAY!!! to get home from Ft Myers on the 25th or 26th. I am hoping that when JetBlue and SWA release their next round of dates, the flights will come down some.

It's nerve wracking for me, since we have our flight down on the 13th (on Song for $79 one way) and I don't know that my parents will appreciate us staying for the entire winter. :rotfl:

MBB,

I don't know what I will dress up as yet. My Girlfriend is going to be Lilo. No shock there as she is in love with her and Stitch. My Girlfriend didn't even see most Disney (and I mean 98%) movies before she started seeing me over a year and a half ago. Now she watches at least one every Sunday and just "has" to go to MNSSHP. We did the Christmas party in December and had soooo much fun. I need to start thinking about my costume I guess. My JB tickets were $430.00 US Return for both. Not bad, saved me about half or more. Once JB is checked off of the list...next is Virgin Atlantic and Paris (of course we will visit Disneyland). :P

Hey,

That's an easy trip to make. I'm a nova scotian living in boston, so I will tell you that you will arrive in Terminal E, where immigration is, and then you will have to catch a shuttle to terminal C where jet blue flies out of. Even though air canada flies out of terminal C all international arrivals come into E. This will change once Halifax gets the pre-clearance of US immigration next year.

You'll want the #11 shuttle, it goes to all terminals.

You will LOVE JetBlue. We have used it to fly to NYC a few times. The crew is great, and those little tv's can't be beat! have a great time! Also keep in mind that they only serve a light snack on the flights (I think this is for all of them!). You do have a pretty good choice though.

You should also look into flying Song.. they had some absolutely wicked fares last February, PTVs in every seat, etc etc. Last February, when AC starts flying direct to Orlando, we were able to get our flights for $370ish with all the fees (each of course). Sooo much better than making any stopover!.. but you're absolutely right with flying into Boston.. if airfares keep going up and up those little blue airmiles are going to be worth their weight in gold flying to Boston instead of Toronto or Montreal! :)

And thank God for that because Terminal E at Logan is a cluster-you-know-what.

I was there last 4th of July when they had their little power interruption because of the nearby fire. It was a total mess and impossible to move around. We just stayed in a hotel near the airport overnight.

Ditto!!! Terminal E has been under construction for what seems like FOREVER. I'm so glad JetBlue is out of there.
