Can this be done, using 2 diff codes on 2 diff rooms

A friend of mine is going with her family of 5, but they would like 2 rooms for space. Would they be allowed to book with the Stay Play and Dine at POR, all 5 of them in one room and then also book a room only with the discount code for the second room? It's not that much more than 2 rooms at a value to have the regular dining plan and I was curious if that would work.
