Forgive me if this has already been discussed before, but would it be legally possible if two members had contracts for the same amount of points but at different resorts to trade contracts if they wanted to? Maybe just pay closing costs for a closing? Thanks for any insight!

As I understand it. you would have to pay closing costs on both contracts.

From DVC's standpoint, it's simply two people selling and two people buying. The difference is that you're not paying cash, you getting an alternative form of payment. My guess is that it would be impossible for DVC to match this offer so there should be no issues there as far as approval. Besides, I'd bet it's possible to get a prior "approval" on this type of transaction. Still, there would be a total of closing as much as $900 though I know you could get it down somewhat. Finding two identical contracts with equivilent available points would be difficult. More likely is to need to adjust for points differences with cash from one party or the other. So much per point for the contract with the more yearly points (?$65 pp) and so much for the one with more current points (?$10 pp).
