I just wanted 2 find out this scenario.

If I book a WDW vacation package for 5nights with 10day base tickets with free Dining checkN on Sept 12th checkN out on Sept 17th

move to another resort with a separate reservation booked for
Sept17-22nd this time with a 40%room only discount

Will I be able 2 use the tickets that I brought on the 1st reservation 2 get into the parks with my room only reservation? I hope my? is clear

yes, this can be done... your tickets do not expire until 14 days after first use (unless you buy no-expiry option) so, no matter where you stay, your tickets will still work...

now, what will expire, even if you don't use them, are your dining plan credits... they expire at midnight on the day you check out of resort #1...

(as far as if your question is clear... i'll be honest, i had to read it a few times... if you used words instead of numbers (i.e. to, instead of 2) it would have been clearer! LOL!)

This is exactly what we are doing in June. The first reservation we got the gift card, and the second we used the 40% off. When I booked this I did it at the same time with the CM over the phone. According to that CM it wasn't a problem (which makes sense).
