Can these be used?

I just returned from a trip I chaperoned at WDW. We were given pre-paid meal cards every day. DH and I choose to save ours for our upcoming trip, as they do not expire.

Does any one know if these can be used at the booths for F&W? Some kids had trouble using them at certain locations in WS.

What does it say on the cards? Is it ia cash value or is it used for, example, a CS meal. Is it like the quick and casual voucher of years gone by?

These are plastic cards with a cash value to them, $20, $13 or $7. We were told we could use them any where. Some of the kids had trouble using them in WS. Lucky for us, the kids gave us their left over cards if there was a balance left at the end of the trip.

We've never used the quick and casual or any of the dining plans.

I've never heard of the card you described. Who issues them (Disney or another party?)? Is there any info on the back, like a phone number you can call or an e-mail address or website?

They are issued by Disney. The number on the back only gives account balances. It is like a credit card. It has a picture of Stitch eating an ice cream cone and has Disney Dining Card printed in the bottom right corner. On the back is the following:

Protect this card and treat it as you would cash.

Use of the Disney Dining Card is acceptance of its terms and conditions. You may use the Disney Dining Card only towards the purchase of food and beverage items at select participating food and beverage locations within Walt Disney World Resort.

The Disney Dining Card cannot be used towards the purchase of any merchandise. Except and only to the extent required by law. The Disney Dining Card will not be replaced if lost or stolen and no portion of the card balances are redeemable for cash.

The issuer of this card, Disney Gift Card Services, Inc. is not responsibile for any unauthorized use of card. This card may not be used towards the purchase of any Disney gift cards or Disney Dollars.

We were given these meal cards every day during our stay. We were with a group of HS students there for DMMDs. I'd love to use them for the food booths at F&W! It woudl be so convenient. If not I know I can use them at the TS and CS places and for Mickey Bars. Just curious if any one knows.

Since this is an unusual thing, I don't know that many people would have the answer for you. I know you're curious, but at this point, your best bet is to just bring them and try it. If it doesn't work at the booths, then you can use them in other places to eat.

When I went to Disney with my high school choir for Magic Music Days we were given something similar but I don't really remember exactly how they worked. It was ten years ago.

I'm not sure about the F&W booths but I was helping out during Easter week at a popcorn cart on Main Street and a Guest wanted to use several of her leftover cards. My first reaction was, eek, I'm out here for just a few hours, I have no clue what to do! In the end, they acted just like the Gift Cards you see in merchandise locations - we just kept swiping each one through until she had paid for her treats. We were both laughing because one or two of the cards had like $.30 left. So, I think you'd probably be able to use them at any cart but I'm not 100% positive...

I think you're asking a very, very specific question that few will likely be able to answer accurately. Your question might be much better answered by WDW. You're got an account# and phone #, so they should be able to help you.
Personally, I'd be prepared either way. If your cards are honored, great, but if they aren't, have a plan B. Have a wonderful trip!

I purchased a dining card off the disneyland web page- My card has Rattatoie on it. I then take it to the Disney store and load up money each pay--
We use this card as we would a credit card to be used anywhere in Disney World.
I wonder if its the same thing?

At the F&WF in the past, guests have been able to purchase prepaid cards to use at the kiosks (as a convenience for guests who didn't want to be pulling out cash all the time or putting 3 and 4 dollar charges on their ccs over and over). I would assume that since these cards are used at the booths that your prepaid card would be allowed too (and maybe even is the same type of card). Just an (educated) guess though.

While I have no experience with the card you have, I'm guessing that they will be able to be used at the booths based on how you describe them and the other replies.

I'm like you, I need to know everything before I go, and I don't want to be embarrased. It'd be my luck that I'd go to pay at a booth and there's a huge line of people behind me, and I hand them the card, they try to run it and it doesn't work, so they insist on calling someone else as I'm begging to just pay cash. So then help would arrive and they'd accuse me of buying the cards off Ebay and everyone would laugh. Isn't that nuts? I worry about this kind of stuff happening! I need help. Serious, serious help....
