Can the club/concierge dining be added on to a regular room reservation?

A friend said she was told that people who are not staying club level have been able to add the club dining on to their reservation at DL. Some have done this right at check in. Believe it took place at GC, but not sure. I have never heard of this before, so thought I would post here to see if anyone has had experience with it.

Does anyone know if this is a real thing? Thanks!

Yes, if it is available, you can add it on. Paradise Pier runs about $100 per night, DLH is about $220 per night, and Grand is about $300 a night.

It does sell out, more often at the DLH than the Grand.

What does club dining entail?
thanx

Some comments on the Veranda, GCH Club Lounge:
...It does sell out, more often at the DLH than the Grand.
The remodel increased seating, with a better layout and a long counter on the balcony.
There is also "overflow" seating just outside the lounge, although I have not seen that needed.
Do you know if it can be added to a DVC room at the GC?
Lounge access cannot be added to VGC :headache:
Policies can change, so ask at check-in

"Light" meals which change throughout the day: breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert
I usually have breakfast (salmon bagel) and grab some desserts in the evening (if before 10).

Is that price per room, no matter the occupancy? It seems pretty steep to be a PP cost.??

I didn't think it would be for the DVC villas. Too bad. Thanks for the info on this!

To add to the above posts, you can also borrow movies for the room, they have things for the kids (my granddaughter loves to get a few coloring pages), the concierges can assist with dining reservations, during Christmas they have Santa visit, they sometimes have storytime for bedtime, and a few other things besides food and drinks.

Oh yes!! I'd forgotten that! When my girls were little, they LOVED the storytime in the lounge. It wasn't every night; maybe twice a week? And they had other things scheduled as well. One night the storyteller was dressed in Western garb and told some fun tale to the kids, who were mostly all in pajamas and loving it.

Just like staying at a DLR hotel itself, one cannot justify the price based on the experience alone. And if the cost is going to cause stress or unacceptable sacrifices in other parts of a trip, then just don't do it. But if you can afford it, and want to do it, then do.

To answer the OP's original question, yes you can add concierge service at check-in but only if it is not at capacity during the nights of your stay. If you really want concierge service, the only way to guarantee it is to book a club level room with the reservation.

Please note that they no longer allow you to book a suite with concierge. You can request it but it's not guaranteed and must be done at check - in.

As far as worth, the more people on your reservation, the greater the value of concierge in a strictly monetary sense.
