I used the coupon everyone has posted about for disney gift cards, but now I have 20-$50 gift cards.

Does anyone know if I can go to the disney store and buy a much larger gift card (say 2-$500) and pay with my $50s?

You cannot buy a gift card with another gift card (says it on the back of the card). I called the number on the back of the card today, as well as my local Disney store and both said they can't be combined.

It cannot be done at WDW, with one exception.

When you check in at a Resort you can have an unlimited number of Disney Gift Cards applied to your account. When you check out, if any of the deposit remains they will refund it to one Gift Card.

So I can simply add the 1000 (20 cards) to my account at check in and use the room key as payment everywhere?

That will work just as much.

Is there any restaurants or stores on Disney property that does not allow the use of the gift card? I know the dolphin and swan restaurants and rainforest cafe so far. Any others? How about T-Rex, Raglan and the other Downtown Restaurants?

I always add Disney gift cards and other various things (ie Amex travelers cheques we get with Amex points) to our acct at check in and just use the KTTW for charges like usual. They will use up your credits and then apply any balance to your cc on file.

Very interesting. I was told they only do that with reward cards from the Disney Visa. The only way I could have gift cards applied to my room charges was to charge first then go to the front desk and they would apply the cards to only cover the charges. Kind of a hassle doing it that way. I will try next week at the BWV to have them added at check-in.
