Can someone who will be at Epcot on April 11 help me?

Hi - I am a long time DVC owner and DISer. I just got a text from a friend whose young grandson was recently at WDW and bought a small cactus in a little glass bottle near Living with the Land. Somehow the cactus was destroyed and the little boy is heartbroken. My friend asked me if I could replace it for him. The problem is that, although I will be in Orlando next week, I wasn't planning on going into any of the parks.

I'd really love it if I could meet someone, maybe near the back door at Epcot, give that person the money, and ask if s/he could buy a replacement for the child, and bring it back to me just outside the Epcot gates. I know this is a hassle, but it would really be appreciated. It's not practical for me to buy a ticket to go into Epcot just to run this errand, but I'd really like to help this child out.

I'm going to call Disney Merchandise when they open on Monday, but I'm worried that they may not be able to help me. This is an item that is not on the website because it is a living plant.

oh I will hope Disney can help you if you explain the problem I know a number of years ago you could go in the MK for an hour ( I think ) to just pick something up. I do not think you can do this any more. But I do hope Disney can help you out and get this for you. Here is too hoping Disney gives you some pixie dust and then little one get a replacement

Such a sweet idea; be aware though, that their plant availability can change on any given day. We were there on the 31st, and the had a ton of Komanche (sp?), but only 1 available of the Cockscomb, 1 other plant. Good luck!

Disney Merchandise should be able to help with that. They have done similar things in the past. They're really terrific. When I accidentally washed my autistic son's Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards, I called just to see if there was a way to buy them. They sent him new cards. I wasn't even asking for that. They were great. I'd try them for sure! Best of luck to you and the little guy!
