Can someone tell me......

We are going to disney sept 28th- oct 8th. for the free dining. this will be our second trip to disney.
We are also going to be booking another trip so we can see the christmas lights and stuff. so when is the best time to go and see everything without high crowd levels and to make sure we see all the decorations?
I wanna make my reservations soon so can anyone suggest some dates for me?
and will we be able to see all the decorations? I don't wanna miss anything..

Last year, we went the week after Thanksgiving. Value season started the Sunday following Thanksgiving. We stayed 8 days. It was great. We had virtually no lines until the last Sat. because the Pop Warner crowds were arriving. Lots of loud teenagers, but not too bad. But before that - nada - no lines and we did all the great Christmas stuff. Like the MMVMCP, it was great, but crowded. I highly recommend this time of year. For me trying to go any closer to Christmas would be really hard because of how busy we are during that time.

We went one year between the first and second week of December and it was fantastic!! The Thanksgiving crowds were gone and the Christmas crowds had not yet arrived. All the holiday decorations were up and it was just an amazing time to be there. We walked on to all the rides! I know the week between Chistmas and New Year's is a zoo, and we went once for Thanksgiving and I was amazed at how busy it was. We waited an hour and a half for the Haunted Mansion one night- that's too much of our vacation spent in line!! If you can go sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas you'll be zipping through the parks without waiting in long lines!
