Can someone tell me how to "move up" a fastpass?

I think I read that this could be done if we finish a scheduled fastpass ride and want to use the next one earlier. I also understand it can only be done if that next scheduled FP is available earlier. How do I do this?

Fast passes can't overlap which sometimes makes it difficult but to do the change click on update fastpass experience or time and then you can update the time if there are others available.

We did this a lot using the app on our phones during our May 2014 trip. It was a great feature!

It really is a great feature and one my DH likes to tool around with, especially when we are waiting in a line for another attraction. I think he secretly really likes the whole MDE app and FP+ because he tends to get a bit obsessed with it while we are there....of course he would NEVER tell anyone that :rotfl:.

My understanding is that you don't even have to wait until you are off the first ride, you can go in and switch the next one anytime after you scan in through the FP line for the first one. I am looking forward to trying this at DHS next month, when I want to leave before lunch.

Just a warning, the system can glitch and if it does it can really screw you up. We were at EPCOT. It was morning hours. We had ridden Soarin FP+, and were trying to move our Nemo FP+ up as soon as possible instead of waiting an hour for it. It showed me it was giving me a time, but when I hit confirm instead of giving me the time it showed me, which was probably 15 minute away, it changed it to a time in the late afternoon. When I tried to fix it, it would not give me back our old time, or give me anytime earlier. The Nemo wait was 30 minutes, and the whole point was to try to get the FP+ done quicker to hopefully grab a 4th from a Tier 1 like TT or Illuminations (silly me- at that point I didn't realize that was an exercise in futility anyway). I marched over to a kiosk where they told me there was nothing they could do to fix it. Their explanation was either it was a glitch, or that time had popped up for 2 people at the same time and the other person hit confirm before I did and it gave it to them. There were no Nemo FP+ earlier than one it glitched and gave us and she could not get ours back. So, considering we were going to be at WS at 4:00 p.m. and were not going to come back to FW for Nemo- we lost our Nemo FP. She told me the only FP+ they could give me that kicked in soon would be Captain EO, but that if I was trying for a Tier 1 as a 4th it wouldn't do me any good anyway, as there was no availability for any Tier 1 the rest of the day. Mind you- this was NOT a busy time of year. Since then, I have gone to kiosks to move FP+- I don't trust the app.

This is a very good illustration of the kind of problems that can be encountered with the less-than-reliable FP+ system.
However, in this one particular case, I don't see why you just didn't walk to Nemo and get in the standby line.

The standby line was already posted at 30 minutes. We are used to walking on that ride at the times of year we go- so while normally 30 minutes doesn't hurt that much- somehow when it is a ride you have never waited more than 5 minutes for, and typically walk right on, it does. ;) Plus, the whole point of moving the FP+ up was to try to get them over with and hopefully get a 4th FP+ for a Tier one attraction (yes, I know...naïve), so at that point I was focused on the fact that my FP+ that ended at noon (which we could have finished by 11:05 and tried to get a 4th), now did not end until 5:00 p.m. I was more interested in getting to a kiosk and getting that fixed, than I was with getting on Nemo.
