We are going in March for a 2 week stay. Renting points from DVC for 1 bedroom at BVT.
We are getting 10 day tickets and will have resort days for the remaining days.
I want to get the DDP. There are 2 adults and 2 ages 3-9.

How does that work? How many credits will I get? Our check-in day, we won't get into until late and our check out day, we are leaving first thing in the morning. So do we still get credits for those days? Does the fact that we will only have 10 day park tickets effect how many credits we will get?

Days on your park tickets don't affect your dining allotment, it's actually the number of NIGHTS you're staying at a WDW resort.

ETA: sorry, I kinda shortchanged you when I noticed you asked much more than I answered. On the standard dining plan, the four of you will each get 1 Table service (think sit down), 1 Counter Service (think fast food), and one snack per night you are staying. Plus a refillable mug that is good at the fountain station in your resort. There are more details in one of the sticky threads on the top of the page, I believe.

DVC can get the DDP.. I made sure of that before booking..

If it goes by nights and not tickets and I'm staying 14 nights, so is it fair to say we'd get 14 TS credits and 14 CS credits each?

you are correct! That sounds exciting to plan that many meals; I've never stayed that long, you'll have a blast!

Yes, 14 credits of each type per person for the 14 night stay. Can be used in any order, expire at midnight on your check out day IF there are any left. Even if you use none the first night and none on check out day, you can use them any way you wish in between. Maybe a character breakfast (1TS) and a table service dinner (1TS) on some days, or a signature restaurant or dinner show (both are 2TS) if you think the kids are up to it.

We often use extra CS credits as a "snack" for both f us, ordering a full CS meal, say maybe nuggets and fries, but treating it as a snack for a late night in the parks or between an early breakfast and a late dinner if we don't feel like a full CS lunch. The DDP is very flexible!

Your refillable mug is not limited to your own resort. You are able to use it at any resort.

I wasn't meaning for it to come across like OP can ONLY use it at home resort, but thank you for clarifying since I sounded that way. I just figured that's where they'd pick them up when they got in.

I am amazed at how many people still think they are only for use at their own hotel....so I thought I'd add to your very detailed description of the DDP! :goodvibes

Hee hee...all my descriptions are crap! well, on the recent "is the mug cool or useless" thread...I was a hater...but I thought you were a supporter.... or it might have been someone else that had Figment as their avatar....if so, you would definitely be the go-to gal for any mug tips. I scoff at them yet let them pile up in my garage. Throwing away Disneyworld stuff is a sin...thats why we have tattered maps from 6 yrs ago still surfacing....:o

Yup that's me - the supporter! We have sets piling up as well and just can't seem to part with them! Everywhere I turn in our house I find something else Disney related. In fact I just came across an envelope with some old trip receipts - don't know why I was saving them ... But also in there I found old paper FPs from Tower of Terror that I had my kids hold onto now as a keepsake. I guess the apple doesn't fall far! ;)
