Can Someone Recommend a Good Flat Iron?

I've had a CHI for a couple of years now but I need a new one. I'm not sure if I want another CHI or if I should go with a new brand. Any thoughts?

I havea Solia from folicle.com...I LOOOVE it...I have very course, curly hair and because it is ceramic and tourmaline plated...it smoothes it as well at straightens it. I think I paid like $100

My oldest has an Infrashine. That sucker works just as good as the day I got it for her almost 10yrs ago. We got it at a salon somewhere.

I bought my youngest a CHI and regret it now because I hear that they just are not lasting long.

Chi used to be the best now they don't last. I tried a Sedu, it is ok but I have to do really small sections of hair at a time. My hairdresser uses a HAI and I tried it today, that will be my next purchase.

What type of hair do you have? Long or short? Babybliss gets SUPER hot, too hot for my hair, but if you have really thick hair, this would be a good bet.

I have really thick hair that is a little past my shoulders. It is somewhat wavy so I go over it with my CHI and then put it up in velcro rollers to keep the shape. I like that my CHI is hot but I don't want anything that's going to burn my hair either...

I had a Chi for 7 years and finally had to replace it. I got a Sedu, and it works great.

I have used CHIs for years and love them! This time, I got a Babyliss Pro and I wish I had gotten a CHI.

Do any of these have an auto shut off? I'm always afraid when I leave the house that I've left it on. My cheap conair has it, but the Chi did not?
