If you live, work, or are visiting Disneyland today or tomorrow (Tuesday or Wednesday), can you please post a pic or two to give us an idea of how the fires are affecting Disneyland?

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I looked at the picture of the day... and the sky looked beautiful.

We are planning to go there and normally I wouldn't care, but I have an 8 month old...

Thanks again!
E.

Put it this way. we will have a great sunset tonight!

The sky 30 miles from Dl is coverd in ash and brown gook...

Just look at the sattelite photos....

I live in Fullerton, which is an adjacent city to Anaheim, and definitely think the sky/smoke is worse today than yesterday. We are getting a bit of falling ash today. Depending on the winds, it could be better tomorrow, but it could be worse.

dose any one know how close the new fire in acton is to you guys..heck i think one my friends liv in that town.

Jade, I did a little googling, and found this site.

Looks like the fire including Acton is the fire they are calling Buckweed. And that one near Magic Mountain (the Castaic fire, I think?) looks close to that as well. All enough of Los Angeles that I wouldn't worry about them affecting Anaheim (other than air).

off topic:
My brother's house (San Diego/Chula Vista) had the evacuation order lifted! I personally don't think I could sleep there tonight (still just too close, under a mile away), but they are going back (leaving the car packed though).

Today there was ash on everything...but it must have come overnight, because I had the windows open today, and not much wind, so everything seems much better. I'm not sneezing like crazy today either. The sky looked nice this am, but as the afternoon came it got hazy and brownish.

Oh, I'm in Long Beach and it's just about 12 miles away from DL.

Santiago is the closest fire to Disneyland and it's probably 25-30 miles away.

It's moving away from Disney right now since we just got word that the area over the ridge to the east of the fire line is now on high alert.

But I think things are changing so quickly that the webcam is going to be more help to you than pictures from a day or even a few hours ago.

We thought it was fine when we were there on Monday. Windy and dusty but no smoke smell or ash at all. But I saw posts from other folks who were there that same day saying that there were ashes everywhere and it was really smoky.

Go figure :confused3

I agree that you really don't need to worry about fires in the Disneyland area, but you may have to contend with poor air quality, depending on what is happening with the winds.

I really think most folks will be fine at Disneyland but I might think twice if anyone has respiratory problems or is traveling with infants or elderly folks.

I live in Anaheim--close enough to DL to hear the fireworks and see the tops of the highest blasts from the front yard. As of about 4:00 pm this afternoon the wind stopped. At first the air seemed even smokier than when the wind was blowing, but about an hour or two later the air was ok. Really hot and dry still, but not smokey smelling. It's supposed to cool down and revert to on-shore flow this weekend and that should blow the smoke out.

Good to know since I am leaving in a few short hours!! Thanks guys, here's hoping the smoke wiped out the crowds!!

I was in the park yesterday. It was dead on Main Street walking in. The only area I saw that was kinda crowded was over at the Halloween Round-up (Def the most people I've seen back there on a weekeday). I didn't go on any rides so I don't know what the lines were like.
