Can someone please help me? Re: new discounts

Hi!

I'm sure that many people are asking about the new discounts, so sorry if this is just repetitive. Here's a bit about us:

We are traveling January 22nd - January 31st. 2 adults and 2 preschool boys.

Right now we have a room only rate for AKL, bunkbed/water view room.

I am trying to avoid a package, would like to pay as we go, thus, also avoiding the dining plan.

Should I wait for a different round of deals to come out? Is there usually a 40% off room rate only released closer to travel times? Or is it possible that this could be it for my travel times?

I thought that all of the discounts just released are for package deals? Is that not the case? I'll have to go look again. I thought it was 40% for the deluxe resorts too. I'm so confused, lol.......

The GF is 30% off and the rest of the deluxes are 40% off. Not sure why the AKL is only 25%. No package needed. And if a better deal comes out later you can call and have it changed.

So do I have this right???

9 nights at AKL = $3020 (this is what our receipt says)

25% discount = $755

Grand total = $2265

So that's better than the $500 gift card, and since I'm avoiding the DDP that's not an issue if FD is a better deal or not.
