Can someone please explain to me why Peter Pan at Dl is so popular?

.......... because I don't even recall what it looks like, much less why so many just love it so. I spend most of my time between NOS and Adventureland. :) :flower3:

TIA

And why is there still no font color selection? I like color....:cheer2:

I think because it has a unique ride experience. It is cool that you fly over the scenes.

You really don't like the ride?

Of all of the dark rides, I think it's the most creative and immersive. They really put a lot of thought into the details. My favorite part is watching the tiny cars move through the scene when you're flying over the city at night.

"Think of a wonderful thought, Any merry little thought........"

It's the feeling of being right in the movie. I love it:lovestruc

It's Disney history at it's best!!!

I think it is also a very calming ride for the little ones. Many of the other rides can put certain kids into sensory overload. When our littlest was between 3-5 years old, we *had* to start with Peter pan or he would not do ANYTHING at all for the rest of the day. It just made him feel tranquil and happy. We could then tell him how the other rides were in comparison to Peter Pan and he would either be ok with going or not ok.

The lines are too long this week for us to ride just yet. We will try again late tonight and early a.m. tomorrow. Around lunch today it was 20 minutes from the sign, but there was quite a line before you even get to the sign. experience has told us that this means about 35-45 minutes in line.

It's one of the best rides at Disneyland. Whimsical, Disney magical. You are flying over London just like Peter Pan did in the movie. This was one of my favorites when I was young"er".

As for the color -- I keep reporting the problem. Hopefully it's get fixed. :)

I think it is because it has a lot to do with memories. To a lot of us this was a pretty remarkable ride when we were kids. It's not that great anymore I grant you. Not compared to what they can do now. It is the same with the silly grand canyon and primeval world on the train. Some things really bring back the wonder of our childhood and the first time we saw them. There is no talking to us folks about these rides.

All of the above reasons are probably correct (flying aspect, unique, memories, etc.), but I also think a huge part is that it is the most friendly dark ride in all of DLR. Most of the others are scary or have loud noises or are "trippy" (Alice or Pooh). There isn't really anything remotely frightening in Peter Pan except maybe the dark. It's more universally liked than other dark rides.

Because it's well done, it's cute and it feels like you are flying

"Popular" is relative. PP has one of the longest lines based on demand and ride capacity. Its ride capacity is pretty low compared to other rides like BTMRR, POTC, HM, Matterhorn. So lines get longer more easily. It is the most popular dark ride because it frankly is better than the other FL rides. A little higher demand with a lot lower capacity means longer lines...not necessarily higher popularity. :)

Color test.

Apply the "black" color, then edit the tag to have the color you'd prefer.

PP - great ride, just too short.

because you're flying.......and my colors seem to be working now......

I want to ride it but every time it was 45 minutes and I'm not waiting that long for that ride...hopefully this October I can ride it

PP is actually one of the very few rides at DL that i would wait 45 minutes to ride, even though i fully recognize that it's kind of irrational, lol. usually we run there first thing in the morning so that we don't have to wait, but i would if i had to (the ONLY other rides in DL that i would be willing to wait that long for are POTC and Splash).

i think, as a previous poster mentioned, that my favorite part about it is watching the tiny car lights in the city below. but the music and the general happiness of the ride also contribute to why i always look forward to it and enjoy it.

It is a classic and when you post your colors, I can not read your posts.

Very good analytical point!
