Can someone please explain SW to me.... (rate)

I went ahead and booked our flights today, for our August trip. I got $79 one way per person a total of $345.60, which is not TERRIBLE but it is not great either ... I have gotten better.

However I really want that early flight, we leave at 6:15 and arrive at MCO at 8:40 (don't want to waste the day) .. anyway

If I get a ding between now and then will southwest credit me?

If you get a DING, you will definitely get SW credits for future use. As far as getting the credit back on your cc, that's a hit and miss situation. I know that Cabmom has been very successful in the past I even asked her for her "word for word" spiel that she gives SWA when she calls. Didn't work for me ... I called several times and was told No. The last person gave me the customer svc number in Texas and I called them ... after a lengthy conversation, she finally agreed to credit me, but not until AFTER I flew. And I checked my cc .... we flew on a Sat-Sat. The girl followed up on each Monday after, and I got my credits back. She was very clear at saying that this was a one-time thing and that I would never get it again.

Just don't want you to think that the refund is an automatic. Next time I'm in that situation, I'm gonna get Cabmom to call and pretend she's me.

edited to add: I think it's actually Mousy In Canada that gave me her word for words for SWA ... I think there are a number of people who have been very successful ... didn't work for my DSis and I had to really fight for it.
