Can someone please explain autograph books to me?

I don't really "get" the whole autograph thing either. I saw a great thing on Pinterest of taking a photo mat and getting that signed, then you can frame it with a pic of your child at Disney! That is what I plan on, and if my DD5 and/or DS2 is not interested I am only out a photo mat.

Meeting the princesses and getting their autographs turned out to be DD5's favorite thing about Disney. I had made her an autograph book to take, but still I was surprised by how much she wanted to fill it up, even to the exclusion of other rides or attractions.

We weren't going to do the whole "autograph thing" either. Figured the kids wouldn't miss what they didn't know. Well when we checked into our hotel the one cast member gifted both kids a autograph book and pen:love: Yeah it was a huge hit and some of the best pictures are from the looks on their faces while the book was being signed and they were talking to them
