Hi everyone!
I'm new here and we've recently decided we want to have a Disney Memories wedding in April 2012. We're from the UK and I feel so confused about what steps to take now we've decided!

We want:
1) To get married on Luau Beach

2) Have Randy Chapman as our photographer

3) Book our holiday through Virgin for 2 weeks

Is there any way to contact Disney's wedding team except for on the phone? Because I don't know how much that phone call would cost lol!

Do I book the holiday with Virgin first? and then call Disney?

Sorry if these are things I should be figuring out on my own, but I've done my own head in on the internet all day trying to work out what I need to do!

Thank you everybody ! x

Congratulations!

It all seems very confusing at first but you'll soon figure everything out.

Your first phone call to Disney doesn't take long and then they call you back within a few days to speak to you about what you want to do.

We pencilled in our wedding with Disney before we booked our holiday, to make sure there was availability.

If you prefer you can book both your wedding and holiday through Virgin.

HTH's a little.

Congrats!

We had a Memories Vow Renewal and after the initial phone call, did everything via email. DH made the first call to inquire and then a planner called him back, then he had to make one phone call back after he checked with me on the date/time. He said they were all quick phone calls. Once our date/time/location were locked in, we were able to finalize everything else through emails and mail. You will need to have your stay booked when you sign your contract - they will ask for your resort confirm number in order to draw up the contract. Good luck!

We booked our holiday/honeymoon before the wedding to get the best price.

We also booked Randy before the wedding was confirmed.

Memories packages can only be booked 6 months prior.

Thank you :) if I book the wedding through Virgin, it can't be a wedding at Disney though can it? I'm just worried that the price of the holiday will shoot up lol :)

Gutted that we have to wait until 6 months before! I'd love to just book our holiday now, but I'm so scared we won't be able to get married on the day we want!

Are you dead set on a particular date our can it be any day within that two week trip? If so, I would go ahead and book as I am sure something will be available within that two week period. Also bear in mind that if it is a 'Memories' collection wedding you are planning at Luau beach, they are only officially available until April 2012 (nobody knows for sure whether they will be continued after this date).
Randy will hold a date for you and refund your deposit if you can't get it, or move your date with no penalties. He is more than familiar with the way DFTW works!!!

Yes you can book a Disney wedding through Virgin, I'm not sure how they stand with the Memories Collection but it might be worth investigating. http://www.virginholidays.co.uk/brochures/weddings/ Go to this link and flick through for ideas of Virgin prices.

If you prefer to deal with Disney direct call Disney they will pencil your date in before the 6 month mark, so whilst it's not guaranteed it's in the DFTW diary. If you're pretty flexible with your actual wedding day there is more than likely going to be availability for you within your holiday period, even more so if you're not bothered about a time. Don't worry it always works out :thumbsup2
