My computer acted goofy for a couple of days and now seems to be running normal again, except for one thing. If you click on a link, when the new window opens, it doesn't open full screen. It puts the toolbars on the top and if you click on the maximize button, the screen shows up. When you first look at it, you think that the new window didn't open. I have searched through all of my help screens, but can't figure out how to change it back to where the whole screen shows up. I don't know how to describe it better than that, I hope someone can figure out what I'm talking about. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I know exactly what you mean, and I have no clue how to fix it. I even had my IT dept. troubleshoot it, and they were as mystified as I was. If you get the answer here, I will be in your debt!

I think I know what your're talking about. Do you mean the window is really tiny when you first open it?
If that's the case, you can fix it by resizing the window and closing it, then trying again. It's worked for me in the past, but sometimes it takes a few trys to get it to 'stick.'

Waffles - no, the window isn't tiny. When you look at the screen, all you see is whatever was there to start with before you clicked on a link. For example, if I click on a link on a message on the disboards, it appears that nothing happened. But, if I then click on the maximize button, the window opens.

Mcnuss - hopefully someone can figure out what the problem is!

I'm not sure I'm following what you say. When you click on the link, obviously the new window show up. Correct? However, you only see the top part (i.e. the toolbar and menus) and have to maximize it to see the actual body.

If this is correct then here's the solution:

Drag what you can see to a point where you can see the bottom right most corner. Once you do this, adjust the size manually (by dragging that corner) until you get it to the size you want. This should allow the body of the page to appear.

What happens is that Internet Explorer keeps the size of the last window you had open. Maximizing it just makes it temporary. Adjusting the size and then closing out of the window resets the default size.

Let me know if that's what you want. Sorry for the late reply but I've been busy.

That worked :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Thank you so much. I tried clicking on links in several different places and they all opened in full windows. Now, if I can get my computer to quit doing the other stuff its doing, I'll be okay. I called a friend to ask about some other things, but if he doesn't know, I'll probably be back here looking for help. You guys are great.
