Can someone help with 417 tolls?

We are trying to decide how much cash we need to bring for tolls on 417. We will be using it to get around I-4 coming from I-95. If I remember right, we get on 417 near Sanford and getting off at exit 2. I have tried to use the toll calculator online but I am having trouble.

Unfortunately, the CFX toll calculator has not been updated with the latest rates for Turnpike-operated toll plazas, and does not include the Osceola Pkwy off-ramp at all.

The totals, merging info from the CFX & the Turnpike web sites, are:

• $7.50 if you get off at Epcot/I-Drive, all tolls being mainline plazas with change available.
• $8.50 if you get off at Osceola Pkwy/MK/DHS/AK, which includes a $1.00 exact change toll at the exit.

You can easily reach any park or resort from either exit. The I-Drive exit often has 5-10 minute traffic backups in the late afternoon; I haven't driven it in the morning.

How are the lines at cash lane of each toll plaza on 417?? Up here in NJ the line at cash lane is usually long....... We only go to FL once a year so I don't want to get a e-pass.

If I want to use "pay by plate" option, do I just drive through the sunpass lane??

I’ve never encountered a wait so long that I remember it.

417 is a good road and most people on it seem to have SunPass. So the cash lanes IME are never long.

We didn't encounter any lines for the cash lanes. We took quarters and used the unmanned lane where you just toss the change in. I think we had to wait behind one car once or twice. Most of the manned booths had one or two cars but nothing terrible (not like the WV Turnpike, but that is a different thread).
