Hi guys, I am having a hard time trying to remember and think of something that I remember at Epcot in Oct 1994 when I was 14. I remember a ride somewhere on the left side when you first enter. I remember it was a show ride that had a lot of things on it but somewhere close to the end of the ride you went thru this thing that looked like you were going down the side of a snow covered mountian??? does anyone out there know what I am talking about??
Thanks,
Kim

I thought that the new exxon universe of energy ride may have replaced it but I am not sure.Someone please help me it is driving me crazy!!

i think tha ride your thinking of is horizons. that has been closed and mission space is in that spot.

Possibly you're thinking about Horizons which was replaced by Mission:Space. At the end of Horizons, you were able to "choose a destination to the future" and you could either go underwater, through a desert, or into outer space. At some portion in the ride there was a giant IMAX screen that your vehicle went past and it may have shown a mountain top.

Honestly, I don't really remember anything in Horizons exactly like you're describing. Can anyone else help?

I definitely remember what you're talking about, I'm just not sure if it was Horizons. What was the ride that was where the Universe of Energy is now? I think it was the one that started out about inventing the wheel. It started out with a square wheel, etc. Also showing a guy airing up a bicycle wheel and watching a pretty girl go by at the same time and pumping the wheel did it blew up.

I can't remember anything else about it, to know if there would be a scene like the ski scene at the end.

I just reread you post where you asked about what the Universe of Energy replaced.

I found the answer!!!!

I have a huge coffee table type book on Epcot and found it there. It was called World of Motion. "The grand finale is a speed-tunnel dash. We get to ride a snowmobile through a New England landscape, pilot a crop-dusting plane, hurtle down a steep-sloped bobsled run and at last we slow down in time of an all-too-brief descent through the Center-Core."

When we get off the ride we go through a General Motors display.

I wonder if this is where TEST TRACK is now?

The Universe of Energy is the same building, just different movies.
You're thinking of World of Motion, which closed in 1996 to make way for Test Track (eventually!)

It's fun to be free
To be on the move
To go anywhere with ever a care to
Do all you've wanted to do
It's fun to be free

It's fun to be free
To be on the move
You go where you please
With comfort and ease to
See all there is to be seen
It's fun to be free

It's fun to be free
To be on the move
To go for a hike
Whenever you like to
Do all there is to be done
It's fun...
To be free!

World of Motion will always be a classic!
