Can someone help me out with bustles?

I totally am anti-bustle, but have realized i will need to have one...

There are 2 types, right? Or are there more?

With my dress, I don't even know what kind of bustle would look right...it's not a full skirted princessy dress...any ideas please or help? I am totally lost when it comes to this topic...

Hey Lori. Maybe you could just do a pick up bustle.

Could you just have a strap attached to the underside of the train and wear it around your wrist to hold your dress up? Your dress is GORGEOUS!

The alterations lady i went to was able to put one button and a loop for it... it didnt fall once and was so easy... because i didnt want to deal with it since both of my bridesmaids lived in different states and wouldnt know how to.. but they both really would since they've both been in so many weddings.

HAHA I see them in my sleep. Really it is bad lol. I can look at anything and see one.

I agree - that dress is STUNNING.

As far as bustles go - I would take it to a seamstress or a tailor, they should be able to pin it up for you and design something that you'll love...

That site you posted is very useful and I think I like the French pick-up or whatever it's called.

Thanks all for the dress compliments!! It turns out I don't think the company sent the right color dress, but now it's paid for....it's still beautiful and I love it, I just don't think it's what the store ordered (I'll have to eventually put this into my PJ).

But, the different color ribbon detail under the bustline is not the goldy color it is in the picture...sigh.

But I do love it and now just have to work on losing some weight so it fits right!
