I just started looking at this board to help my SIL that has MS out so I am not in the "know". Thanks

If you look in the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of the board, you will find one post that tells all about GACs (Guest Assistance Cards).
For visible disabilities (like casts or wheelchairs), the Cast Members (CMs) can see what sorts of things you need and the will direct you to the appropriate place. So, you don't need a GAC with a wheelchair or ECV unless there are other needs besides.
It is harder (or even impossible) for CMs to know what needs people with invisible disabilities have. The GAC is basically a tool to let the CMs know what the needs are.
