what exactly IS a PIN? from what i'm gathering, you get e-mailed a PIN which you can enter when booking a package and then get that discount or whatever.

so how does one get a PIN? i've read that some people will just randomly get e-mailed one after browsing the disney site. do you have to have stayed on-site previously/recently for them to send you one?

a CODE is four letter/numbers that's tied to a promotion either public or restricted to certain (ie AP, DVR).

A PIN is a long series of letters/numbers that's tied to a household.

How you get a PIN? Pixie Dust. There's no reason as to how/why it happens. Some claim certain things trigger it (planning/saving a trip, creating an account, ordering the DVD, staying on a package, etc.) however it doesn't work for many.

It's sent to those who go every year, to those who never went.

I for example, have been there for about 10 times, did packages directly, bounceback, thru AAA, online, phone, convention, requested the DVD almost every other year, danced the blue moon dance, etc. Only ONE PIN ever, which was only as good as a package I had already booked.

My sister who's been there about 5-6 times, gets a PIN every other month.

I was very confused on this as well. I asked how to get one about 2-3 days ago and everyone suggested exactly what the person above me said and just today, I recieved my pin in the mail.

I tried anything and everything, and signed up with two different accounts. One for DF and one for myself.

i guess i'll make a new account, as i've had one for a while and never got one. maybe i'll make one under DF's e-mail
