Shipboard credit amount is based on total amount of reservation with Dreams Unlimited Travel including taxes, transfers, trip insurance and pre- and post-night stays added to a Disney Cruise Line reservation (does not include pre- and post-night stays booked through Disney outside of a Disney Cruise Line reservation)

Does this mean that if you book a hotel reservation at Disney before your cruise through Dreams, that amount will count towards your OBC too or does it have to be like a "Land and Sea" cruise reservation?

If you book the land portion as a stand-alone reservation, it does not count towards the shipboard credit because it is not part of your cruise package.

Maybe someone from DU can chime in, but I believe that the pre and post cruise hotels only mean the one-night stays you can add through DCL, either at the MCO Hyatt or WDW. Those are not land and sea since they do not involve park tickets or other rules involved in those packages. They roll the price of those stays into the total cost of your cruise, just like the cost of DCL transfers.

Ya, maybe someone can chime in. I am not bothering my TA on the weekend. With the one night stays you book through DCL I wonder if it is only at rack rate or can you apply a Disney discount to it?

They are DCL rate, meaning DCL charges a set price that is always the same. You cannot apply any packages, discounts, etc. on them. Plus you usually cannot pick your type of room and usually can only book one night on each end of the trip.

Ya that is a no go then with not being able to apply a discount.
