Can Someone Explain The Waitlist To Me

Ok...I'm waitlisted for my first night that we arrive in Orlando at Vero Beach. What is the deal w/ the 30 days prior?? Will I be taken off the waitlist 30 days before we arrive? So do I have to call and ask to stay on the waitlist? I'm a little confused about it all. We are going May 25-28 but I could only get a ressie for the 26th-28th.

And....If the waitlist doesn't come thru...are there any reasonable or good hotels around VB that someone can recommend for the first night we arrive. There will be 6 of us....4 adults, 2 kids.

You know Vero Beach is about 90 miles from WDW, correct? That's a long way to go for just one night.

We are going to VB first before WDW. Staying at vero the 26-28 then over to SSR til June 5th. I am waitlisted at VB for the 25th....that is why I'm trying to find a hotel near VB in case the waitlist doesn't come thru. Also, I want to know more about the waitlist and what i need to do.

I have never waitlisted before and don't know the ropes of it, but if it doesn't work out you might try for a cash room too. Wednesday wouldn't be too expensive.

At the 30 day prior mark call and see if the waitlist came thru. If it did not you can request to stay on the waitlist until 7 days prior.
