Where do you get the ticket?

When the 1st adult comes back, how many people can go with the 2nd adult?

Do you go through the fast pass line?

TIA,

Lori

When DH took 2 dds on a "big ride" he asked a CM as he entered the ride for a "baby swap ticket". The ticket said good for up to 3 people. That way when he was done he stayed with our ds while I took the 2 girls back on the ride. We got to go through the fast pass line. Hope this helps.

We did it about 4 years ago and didn't get a ticket. We both waited in line and when we got up to the front one rode while the other waited with the child. As soon as adult #1 got off adult #2 rode. We only had one kid at the time but from what I've heard & seen if an older sibling rides with adult #1 they can also ride with adult#2. I don't know how many people can ride twice but I'd guess it should be just those who would partner with the 2nd adult in the seat????

Here's what we found to be easiest if you are riding a "fast pass" attraction - Get fast passes, return at given time, one adult rides with their fastpass and then when they are done the other goes on. The wait isn't that much more and the 2nd adult can wait somewhere more exciting with the kid (this works especially well at Splash Mtn. where they have that play area for the kids).

The line you go through would depend on whether or not you're using a fast pass (you can't cut into the FP lane just for child swap without using a FP).

pirateofthecarolinas, last month we used this on Test-track. While one adult and my DD (5 years old) rode, the other adult waited with my DS (2 years old). We first got our fast-passes for the ride for my DD and one adult. When our FP time arrived, we returned to the FP entrance and ask the CM for a child-swap ticket. They give you a ticket that looks like a FP and is good for up to three people. So my DD and I rode first, then my DW and DD rode later in the day on the child swap ticket (there seems to be no time frame that the swap ticket must be used in). It is very nice and very easy.

Enjoy your trip.

RamseyTrio, was your child tall enough to ride, but just didn't want to? Most of the time when I've gone with a small child (under the height restriction) they won't even let us all go through the queue and the second rider, along with the smaller child must wait at or around the exit. Usually that is good, but there have been some queues that my non-rider has wanted to experience.

I'm glad that they have this system in place and they don't make everyone wait twice.

It can vary from ride to ride.

We only did one this last trip - SM. We all went all the way in. They were taken to the point where we exit the cars. Then when we got off, swapped and DH with other kids went back to the loading section.

We used Child Swap for ToT and RnR in July. It worked beautifully. Our kids were big enough, but not quite brave enough for these two, and we didn't want to miss experiencing them. With both rides, we used Fastpass for all four of us. Then we returned in our Fastpass window, went through the Fastpass queu and usually along the way we'd find a CM and we'd let them know we were child swapping (by having all four tickets, our kids still had the option right till the last moment to ride if they wanted to). One parent was then ushered to the remainder of the line up, and the other was sent to the gift shop with the kids. When parent #1 finished the ride, they went to the gift shop and got Parent #2. Parent #2 took the 'back route' from the gift shop back to the line and the CM let us right into the line to get on (no additional waiting). It was excellent....kids were happy, we were happy - system worked!
Good luck! Oh - and we had no 'tickets' for the child swap. Just used Fastpass, and told the CM's what we wanted to do.

I think it means that if your child is being a "BIG PAIN", that you can swap him/her for someone else's!!

At least, that's what we tell our dd? ;)
