Can someone explain the 11 month mark when making a ressie?

I'm renting points for next May 7 for 5 nights, checking-out on 5/12/06. Does this mean my friend can't call for my ressie until 6/12/06? I'm really hoping to get a studio w/BW view, that's why I'm concerned with the 11 month mark. I don't want to have her call daily to add each day but want to be sure she calls on exactly the first day available to get the whole ressie.

Yes, that's what it means, assuming BWV is her home resort. If she doesn't own points there, she will have to wait until seven months. The eleven month window only applies to resorts where you own points; at seven months out, anybody can make ressies anywhere.

Actually, she can call on 6/12/05 to make the entire reservation. ;) I'd suggest having her call next Wednesday to reserve the first day and ask MS if they feel she needs to call daily or wait until the 12th for the remainder. MS can look at the reservation pattern at that time and advise accordingly.

Good luck!

Hi Sue!

If you really want the BWview studio, I would have your friend call every day. If you wait you may not get it.

I got a GV, at OKW, for early December. I had my friend call every day. I was afraid if we waited I wouldn't get it.

Good luck! :)

No, I wasn't able to get BW view at this time. I was able to get SV, as that'll save me some $$$ as I've done pool view enough so I'm ready for a change. Since I'm just renting points, I really hate to keep making the DVC'er I'm renting from call for me. I guess I could ask if she could put me on the wait-list, but I don't want to tie up the extra 10 points as I know she can't use them herself this year.
