I loved having unlimited internet for 16 dollars a day. It's nice not having to turn off all the apps on your phone, turn off email etc etc. .There are not a lot of things that I can say Carnival Cruise Lines does better, but I much prefer their data plans over Disney's.
Carnival’s Internet plans include:
Some of us still have to work even on a cruise (travel agent here
- Social ($5 USD per day)* – Offers access to sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Linkedin, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and popular airline websites. Note: Plan does not include in-app calling, Facetime, Snapchat, iMessage or access to any other sites or apps.
- Value ($16 USD per day)* – Provides access to a wide variety of sites and apps, including social media, e-mail, news, sports, weather, banking and more. Note: Does not support Skype calling or music streaming services such as Spotify.
- Premium ($25 USD per day)* – Promises the fastest possible connection and includes access to all websites and apps, including some streaming video services.
). It is much easier when you know your costs and don't have to try and estimate how much data you will use.

Loved RCL's internet package. I like to watch Netflix before bed and that eats away at a quick rate. On our last cruise, which was our first RCL, I never had any issues with streaming. It was wonderful and so much less expensive than what I would have paid with DCL.RCL was the same way, and the speed was actually blazing fast. Like, my husband was streaming the football game on his phone without lags or delays fast. We took it as a second honeymoon and could Facetime our son whenever. Not that we would ever go on DCL without our kids to need to Facetime there!!!
I'm relocating for work and it came with a couple months of exclusively working from home - if I wasn't past the deadline for cruising while expecting, I would so have signed on for something long and random on RCL and worked from my cabin on my laptop during the day.
