Can Someone Explain CCleaner?

I was told this was a free program to clean cookies so I downloaded it last night. When I run it it detects the problems, but it tells me I need to pay for the full version to repair them because I only have the trial version. I'm not very computer literate and I could use some help understanding if this program will work or if I really have to pay for it. Any help is appreciated.

Make sure that you have downloaded the free ccleaner and not the paid one. I have downloaded the free one and it works just fine and its free. If you are still having problems feel free to PM Me.
