My husban'd friend went to DL a few weeks ago and he says he went and got a bunch of fast passes for the day - I understood that you can only get one at a time - he says you can't get passes for other parks but you can get mutiple passes for the park you are in. - which makes no sense at all.

Can someone clear this up for me.

Thanks
Helen

Every park offers Fastpass on selected rides. you just go to the ride you want the fastpass from insert your park hopper/annual pass and you will receive a fastpass to come back at a certain time. Say you get your fast pass at 11am it and it has a return time of 2:00-3:00. SO then you just go back ot that ride between 2 and 3 and walk through the Fastpass line and have little to no wait. On your Fastpass will be the time marked that you are allowed to get your next Fastpass.

I don't see how you can get multiple fastpasses for the day. I know they now allow you to get the next one before the time on your current fastpass comes around. The most I've had at any one time is 2 though.

You can get another Fastpass anytime after the start of your return window, or in two hours, whichever comes first. In the example the other poster cited, if you get a Fastpass at 11 with a return time of 2, you could get another Fastpass at 1:00. If your return time was 12:30, you could get another Fastpass any time after 12:30, whether or not you have actually used that Fastpass. The parks don't know if or when you use the Fastpass, just when you got it. Fastpasses now have the time that you can get your next Fastpass printed on the bottom of the ticket, so there's less confusion.

Your husband's friend may have gone to DL while AAA packages were offering unlimited fastpasses. At that time, in Disneyland, if you booked the right package (I know AAA offered them, others may have as well) you could get as many fastpasses as you wanted at one time.

Today in WDW you can only get one fastpass at a time and the next one will not be available until a time stated on the fast pass itself, sometimes it's when the first fast pass becomes valid.

Thank you ever so much for that link! :worship: It explained everything I was questioning about the "new" Fastpass system.
