I have looked at the menu, but I want a first hand account of what makes up the skillet and what, in your opinion, is the best thing about it? Trying to sell the family on going there. Thanks :cool1:

We love the breakfast skillet, that comes with eggs, bacon, sausage, and waffles in a skillet, but its really all about the gravy. yummmmm

The dinner skillet has barbeque foods. Also very good.

The skillet itself is a large metal serving dish with handles on each side, like you might have camping.

one word... yum!!!!!!

I think the best part is the melt in your mouth ribs. No wait - the best part... its all you can eat!

Can someone tell me if everyone in your party has to get the skillet? I would like to have it, but I'm not sure that others in our party would. Thanks

Not everyone in your party has to order the skillet. My DH got it last Sept and I had the pork chops. My boys had the chicken tenders. DH also had a milkshake.

Everything was really good and we will be going back this Sept.

Oh good I was really hopeful that I could get it if everyone else decided to get something else. Thanks! :cool1:

My DH and I are planning to get the skillet at our WCC lunch - do we both order the skillet and end up with 2, or do we say we're going to share it and they just charge us twice as much? I'm sure since it's all you can eat they won't just charge us for one. Just wonderin' - thanks!

First they bring a bowl of salad for your whole party, it comes with tomatoes, onions, and I believe cucumbers, it is already tossed with the apple vinaigrette dressing, but I'm sure you could ask to leave the dressing off if you didn't care for it. They also serve cornbread with it, and butter. The cornbread is okay, it is like a Jiffy mix, slightly sweet and very packy/heavy.

Then they bring a large skillet, and it has a few bones of St. Louis style pork ribs smothered in BBQ sauce (which means they are NOT baby back and not really tender, you actually have to gnaw the meat off the bone, it will not fall off), some pulled pork with BBQ sauce, baked chicken thighs/legs and some sausage that was just like breakfast sausage..(If you are a BBQ purist, then you probably won't like the sausage, it's nothing like they serve at most BBQ restaurants on the sausage and cheese plates, or smoked sausage plates. It tastes like they took a Jimmy Dean link as an afterthought and threw it in there.)

They also serve little buckets of baked beans, mashed potatoes, a creamy mayonnaise based slaw and little individual corn on the cobs. We got refills on the ribs and pork twice, and the beans and slaw as well. All the sides were pretty good.

Dessert is anything you like off the menu, you do not get an appetizer with the skillet if you are on the DDP, as the salad counts as the appetizer.

If you've ever been to a Famous Daves and gotten their All American BBQ feast, or to Smokey Bones and shared their "Pick Three Meat" platters, then you've already had the WCC skillet. We got it last year just because we like BBQ, but it was so-so in our opinion. Then again, we're spoiled rotten from living where we live...BBQ heaven, in my opinion. I can get much better, much cheaper the rest of the year, ya know? I love a rib that you pick up and shake, and the meat falls off onto the plate, and these were definitely NOT that kind.

I think everyone should try it, most everyone likes it a lot...you will definitely be FULL after sharing it.

It's round, maybe about 14 inches in diameter, cast iron, and may be hot to the touch. :p

Here it is! This is the one they brought out for 4. I think if there is a smaller party the portions will be smaller.
