We really enjoyed Teppanyaki and are looking forward to trying the new Teppan Edo. For anyone who has been to both, can you compare the two for us? TIA!
ETA: Do they still only seat 8 max to a table?
The two are very similar. The restaurant itself is updated, but the food is just as good. However, they did not offer the steak/chicken combo this time. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

The do still have the steak/chicken combo, it just has a new name. It used to be Tonosama and now its Nihonbashi (I forgot the new name and had to look it up at Debs site). I had it on my November trip. Its pretty much the only thing I ever order.
The entire inside of the restaurant is redone and it looks so nice! The table area around the grill is bigger so its not quite as crowded with your plate, drink and dipping sauces. And they no longer give out the comp seaweed. The food was great as usual and Im really looking forward to going again on our next trip.

Bummer! When we asked our then 8 yo son what his favorite food was during that trip, without any hesitation, he said "The seaweed!" Gotta love a kid who eats just about anything! Thanks for the reply, 4greatboys!

My 5 yr old loved it too! My 7 yr however wouldnt go anywhere near it. They do have a seaweed salad on the app list but Im not sure what all is in it. maybe you can just order a side of it when you go in.

Don't you just love a kid who will try all kinds of food?! We had such a wonderful time at Teppanyaki! The food, atmosphere, the chef-everything was great! We were seated with a family from Japan and they told us about their traditions and I will always remember how they all giggled at us as they tried to teach us the correct way to use chopsticks. Another wonderful night in Disney!
