Can someone breakdown housekeeping policies?

I keep seeing mentions of housekeeping/no housekeeping, but get a gift card, etc. Can someone give me a straight forward breakdown of what all happens/doesn't happen if you do/do not have housekeeping?

What you are referring to started as a trial. At certain resorts people were able to forego housekeeping (no fresh towels, no bed made, no trash emptied, etc) and get a gift card instead. The amount started higher and then went down to $15 per day I believe. This was done at some values and a couple (?) of moderates I think. It is not a regular program yet I don’t believe. I’m not sure they are even still doing it.

Basically anything housekeeping would do is of course not done because opting for the gift card negated housekeeping services. That’s the basic rundown.

The "gift card for no housekeeping" are trials that have been done at various resorts for various amounts. There is no guarantee you will be offered such.

You will still get approximately half of the regular housekeeping service. Every two nights housekeeping will change towels, empty trash and replenish toiletries and every 4 nights they will also vacuum and make the beds.
