I am really struggling with the Atkins/SBD thing....on induction I have GAINED 4 pounds this week!! So, today I am trying somethng new!! I have done Weight Watchers in the past with some success....so I am ready to try again! All I need is the points.....and for anybody that is interested, I have a GREAT spreadsheet in EXCEL for WW that helps to keep track of all your points, calculates AP, and keeps record of your points, water, veggies and milk servings for the week.....provided you input the info :teeth: should anybody want it, please PM me with your email and I will send it. Be sure to enable the macros as well. That is the only way it will work! Anyway, sorry to make this so long....but anybody knowing the points, please let me know! It is much appreciated!

POINTS Target
This chart is NOT for growing teens or nursing women. Growing teens, females under 16 and males under 19, should add 2 points to the target shown. Nursing woman should add 10 points to the target show. Everyone should consult a doctor before beginning or modifying any weight loss program.

The first column is your weight right now. The second column is your POINTS Target. Your POINTS Target is the minimum numbers of points you should each every single day.

000 – 149 20
150 – 174 22
175 – 199 24
200 – 224 26
225 – 249 28
250 – 274 30
275 – 299 31
300 – 324 32
325 – 349 33
350 – 999 34

That is just what I was looking for....and you get 35 flex points a week as well....right? Another quick question while we are talking points....should you use or not use your activity points....I know you have to eat all your daily points....but should you eat your AP points as well....and how long can you bank flex points? Thanks for the info....I appreciate it!! And it looks like I am going to have lots of points left for dinner.....I get lots!!!
 

I can't answer your AP question, except that I know you must use them the day they are earned. As far as the flex points, you must use them within the week or you lose them, if I understand what I have read and heard at our meetings. Maybe someone else can clarify that. I do know that you are supposed to eat all of your regular points every day.
Best of luck, I have been doing this since the end of January, and have lost 17lbs. I did the whole Atkins thing 2 years ago, lost 35lbs, and then gained them (and several of their friends) back.
Weight Watchers is a way of life that will work for me!
 
Please definately use your AP points. But again, you must earn them the day you earn them. I tend to be conservative when I give myself AP's though so I don't overestimate themselves.

I give myself about 2 AP's for a 60 min TM workout 3 for a 90 and 4 for anything 2 hours or above -

For my FIRM workouts I do 1 point for a 45 min sculpting workout. If its a cardio or cardio & sculpt and I feel I worked out very intensly then I will give myself 2.

I also make sure I don't eat junk with those points.

I made it to goal last year eating all my points, AP's & Flex. I also never dropped under 22 points when I reached 150lbs. I figure the more points I can eat and get to goal, the easier it will be to maintain and eat as many points as I can. I've seen people who don't eat AP's or flex and only ate 20 points when they reached 150lbs. They had trouble adding points without gaining when they got to goal. Thier metabolism was in a slower mode and adding points made them gain.

The key though at goal is to continue to exercise and watch your points. I didn't and I gained 20lbs that I am now loosing again.

Keep eating as many points as you can. Everyone is different though, so its something you must monitor.
 
Personally, I eat all of my flex points, but none of my activity points. I've been averaging a 2 pound loss every week and I'm thrilled with that so I don't plan to start eating my activity points any time soon (but I have great motivation--I want to look good on my wedding day).

For now, I'm eating all of my daily points and all activity points I earn each day. I supplement this with my weekly points to fill in as needed. Last week was my first week but I had 11.5 points left for weekly points to I'm not too disappointed with myself. Everyone I've asked has told me that they eat all of the points they "have put in front of them".

Just need to make sure,,,,, you get your points (according to weight) and then you get 35 extra?,,,,can you use these extras in one day,,if there is a party or something? I may be looking at this wrong..but i would get my points for the day and 35 more,,sounds to good to be true..also if you do not use all your point for the day can you use them on the weekend too? Thanks so much for your help...I HAVE to do this.......i can not seem tolast more then a week...but I am on my way to doom for sure,,,,

You get a certain amount of points each day depending on your weight. Then you get 35 Weekly Points to use however you need. You can use a few each day or save them all to use for one event such as a party. Plus, you earn activity points in exchange for exercise/physical activity.

Daily Points can only be used on their day or you lose them.
Activity Points can only be used on the day you earn them or you lose them.
Weekly Points can be taken in a lump or broken up but must be used during the week or you lose them.

Here's a scenario:
You have 26 points for each day plus your 35 Weekly Points plus you exercise daily.

Sunday: You eat all of your 26 points plus the 3 activity points you earn for a total of 29.
Monday: You eat all of your 26 points plus 5 of your Weekly Points.
Tuesday: You eat all of your 26 points plus the 3 activity points you earn for a total of 29.
Wednesday: You eat all of your 26 points plus the 3 activity points you earn and 2 of your Weekly Points for a total of 31.
Thursday: You eat all of your 26 points plus the 3 activity points you earn for a total of 29.
Friday: You eat all of your 26 points plus 3 of your Weekly Points.
Saturday: You are going to a party today. You have your 26 daily points plus your 3 activity points and your remaining 25 Weekly Points for a total of 54 for the day.

Yes,,,, that helped a lot thank you,,,,I had thought I heard some where that if you did not use up all your daily points, you could save them -as long as you used them by the end of that week,,,,glad I asked !!! But WOW if you save all your 35 free points,,you could have a GOOOOOOOD weekend day LOL....
