I have no clue what I did but somehow the fonts on the computer have changed. It is so small and written in script it is almost unreadable. It changed everywhere - desktop, email, menus, internet... Under tools I found font but it won't change it says the font is Latin something. I have tried restarting the computer several times and nothing changes.

Any ideas???

Thanks,
Amy

I'm sorry I can't help you but I'm interested in any responses you get. I've had the exact same problem with my computer at work for about 2 weeks & don't know how it happened or how to fix it.

Look at the top of your toolbar for view. Click on this, look for text size, click. Should be able to change the size to largest. Sbella

Up at the top of the screen click on View and then drop down to text size and select the size font that you want. Mine is set to medium.

Ok I made the text extra large so it is now somewhat readable but it is still the wrong font. It is some kind of fancy script. I found the font name (Latin Broad??) under Tools - General but it wont change. I pick a different font and click OK but it changes right back. :confused3

Do you have windows xp? Whenever something like that happens to my computer I use the system restore feature in xp and it will fix it. Good luck.

You should be able to change it through th tools, internet option, general, fonts. You may have to try to reboot the computer after you change it.

For Windows (I have XP):
To change the font you can right click on the desktop and click on Properties. Then click on the Appearance tab. There should be a button that says Advanced; click on that. At the bottom there is a drop down menu that you can go through and change the fonts on the different things, like the title bars, etc.

Hope this helps a little.

Most likely your default system font has become corrupted, and the one that is appearing now is a random system replacement. (Microsoft's idea of a spare tire).

If you are using XP, the system restore process (use the original installation CD, choose the restore option as it begins installation) is fairly straightforward, just read the prompts carefully to ensure you are doing a restore.

If not using XP (most likely 2000 or 98), then you can reinstall the fonts, but it's not nearly as straight forward, and therefore a little complex for this forum.

Time to rely on the neighborhood/close friend/relative who is your favorite geek. It'll probably cost you a good 12-pack or dinner out.
